LEGAL COUNSEL for Real Estate Asset Management Company (LCREAM050310LM)

A foreign owned Real Estate Asset Management Company has opened a vacancy for a Legal Counsel in its Kiev office. The main function of the Legal Counsel is to provide legal support in relation to the establishment and operation of the asset holding company, on local and international level. This position reports to the Company CEO and the Head of Legal in Headquarters abroad. 

The responsibilities will include: Provide legal support on the cross-enterprise level focusing on establishing asset holding companies in Ukraine. Provide legal support on the project level: legal due diligence related to asset takeover, turn-around and exit; manage legal issues, including preparation of documentation related to asset purchase process, facility management, property management, construction management; take part in local RFPs (Request for Proposals) of legal service providers; participate in negotiations. Manage legal issues concerning cooperation with the third parties. Manage respective information flow and consult regional and group management. Cooperation with respective teams within the group of asset holding companies.

Requirements: Legal degree from reputable University. 5+ years experience in complex corporate legal proceedings, ideally with exposure to real estate and/or corporate restructuring & recovery. Fluent in English, verbally as well as in writing. Strong execution capability – self-starter, self-motivated, result oriented with a problem solving attitude. Good analytical and problem solving skills. Good communication skills. Proven network of lawyers/law firms would be a strong advantage. Court experience is a plus.
