The Swedish Management Program for Ukrainian top managers
Welcome with your application to the Swedish Institute Management Program (SIMP) open for high level young Ukrainian Managers! For the third year in a row we are inviting to this free of charge Mini-MBA with focus on CSR for future generation of business leaders in Ukraine.
Please apply before the middle of April 2010 for the program starting this spring.
What is it?
The program has a clear CSR focus; it aims at strengthening the participants’ engagement, motivation and leadership qualities for taking companies and organizations towards a more sustainable society. This is done through a combination of training in CSR and leadership and a real-life business projects with Swedish host companies that we carefully select for participation.
Effectively, the participants widen their contact network throughout the seven countries and strengthen their connection to Sweden, too. The program’s alumni activities is a way to secure “the investment” that all the partakers make by engaging in SIMP. Until now, 100 leaders have completed the program. Who can apply?
The program’s participants are progressive and well-established “opinion leaders” of the business community and within the government service in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Ukraine, Belarus and Russia.
The ideal SIMP participant has a strong educational background, good command of English both in writing and speaking, analytical skills, 3-5 years of managerial experience and experience of leading or working in projects. He or she is goal-driven and has a practical “hands-on” approach to management, has good communication and social skills. The program strives for diversity in industries, sectors and geography as well as for gender diversity. Applications are strengthened by one or two relevant recommendations by superiors or peers in the relevant sphere.
